Garlic Lemonade!

Well I survived yesterday's last day of subbing and the field trip to the beach for the end of year party with lots of Ibuprofen and water.  My throat was still feeling crappy.  Then I woke up this morning and it was super painful to swallow even my spit!  Boo told me this morning that his throat was hurting too....ugh!  I've made a Dr. appt this afternoon just to make sure it's not strep or something contagious as I have to work with a labor client soon and don't want to pass anything on to the new baby.  So I decided to take action and as soon as the commissary opened at 9 am I headed down to get my ingredients for Garlic Lemonade!  I know it sounds crazy but on the boards for Alabama moms that I go to they swear by it, so I figured I'd give it a try!
Here is what I did:

I but a 16 oz mug of water in the microwave to boil
Then in a canning jar I added 2 garlic cloves minced and the juice and pulp from 1 lemon.
I then poured the boiling water in and sealed the jar, I let it seep for 30 mins
I then strained it into my mug and sweetened with honey

The Verdict:
It is great!  I tried it both warm and cold and like it both ways...I'm drinking it warm now while blogging.  I'll be making some for Boo later if he's still complaining about his throat.  I may have a little garlic breath but truthfully I really don't care because I just want to feel better! And I'm so glad it's yummy so I don't have to force it down.
