Japanese Wooden Rice Cake Molds

I have always wanted to buy some of these Japanese wooden molds, they were used to make rice cakes, for decoration. I was holding off because being the bargain hunter that I am I didn't want to pay $20+ each. Luckily when my family was here visiting we went to an antique store where I found these marked down to $6 each! I would've eventually broke down and bought at least one at full-price since we are winding down to the end of our time here, but I was so happy to get 3 for cheap! Now I can mark these off my list of things to get before we leave Japan.

Dumb Question...
rice cakes like the ones here? You can MAKE those?
(o:
No it's like Mochi, a sweet sticky rice cake.
Wow, where did you manage to find one that cheap? I've been looking for those.
I found them at the Antique and Craft Store behind ITT, a lot of people forget it's there...go check it out!
