Japanese Festival Parade

These pictures are from the last years (2007) Misawa Summer festival's parade.  It's neat because they carry these huge floats down the street.  Some of the floats are a bit creepy with the huge fake 'people' but others like the Stitch one are really neat.  Check out the linked site for more information on the parade.  The lady with a cart is selling ice cream.

I just love the culture, sights, and sounds. Oh yeah, and the noise, can't forget those....I can't wait to see this festival this year.

Hi my name is Melissa and I totally just came across your blog through a search engine. We are currently stationed at Hanscom AFB in MA and are making a bitter-sweet move to Yokota AB in Japan this summer. I would love to ask you some questions if you wouldn't mind. Thanks!
