Down Day & More

Picture taken by Boo

Saturday I had a down day, and I mean down in bed all day!  I woke up with sinus pain and a low grade fever so after crawling out of bed for breakfast and meds I crawled right back in and spent the day there.  Thankfully Mr. B ran the household and took care of the kids so I was able to rest.  I drank my garlic lemonade and by Sunday I was feeling much better, although still drained for most of the day.  Today I'm feeling back to normal which is good as once again I was off to Dr. appts.

Bubby and his pal, Mac

Bubby had his visit with the allergy specialist today.  We were there from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm, we were told it would be a long visit so at least we were prepared for that.  Unfortunately Bubby will need to undergo MORE allergy skin testing on Monday (after he's been off his Zyrtec for 5 days) and they will be able to test for more things than Misawa was able to test for.  After that we'll get started on the allergy shots.  I'm bummed he has to undergo skin testing again as its not a fun experience but he seems in good spirits about it, so I'm thankful for that!

Also after talking with the allergy specialist today he thinks Bubby's headaches are NOT allergy related but are instead Migraines because they are being controlled by Singular.  He went from 5-7 headaches a week to 1-2 a week with Singular BUT that is still a lot for an 8 yr old.  He recommended we see a headache specialist so as soon as school is out, and Bea's surgery is behind us I'll make an appt. to get him a referral for that.  Yet again more appts. sigh...Until then I'm going to start looking for triggers in his diet as we have found that Mr. B's are often triggered by certain foods.

So here we are at 1:30 pm and no homework has been done and I'm thankful I've gotten the dishes washed, looks like I'll be playing 'catch-up' this afternoon and evening.  Thankfully one of my homework assignments this week is watching Facing the Giants movie (Awesome movie!) so that shouldn't be too tough ;)

P.S. I FINALLY figured out how to add background music, so make sure your speakers are on to listen :)
