Sapporo Snow Festival
Each February there is an amazing
Snow festival held in
Sapporo, Japan. This past February Mr. B and Boo were lucky enough to get to go with the Cummings 6th graders for a field trip. This was a wonderful opportunity as it's otherwise pretty expensive and involves a 6 hour ferry ride. They stayed with host families while there. The snow and ice sculptures are HUGE and there were many opportunities for fun. They did some skiing, sledding and even drank coke out of ice mugs! The family that Mr. B stayed with was great and even graciously let Boo stay with him the last night when Boo called him sick with a headache. Boo was originally staying with a college student but on the last night he got a headache so bad (this happens every so often for him) that he was throwing up. Mr. B was able to walk over to where he was at and bring him to his host families home. I am so grateful for this compassionate family who graciously let not only my husband, but 2 other adults, in their home and more than happily welcomed Boo. The guys had a great time and I enjoyed the pictures :) Check out the linked words for pictures and info from other sites!
