Scraping the Bottom of the Barrel
Well that time has arrived well I feel like I'm running out of ideas and 'scraping the bottom of the barrel' for blog ideas! Ugh! I guess that's what happens when I post for 3 weeks straight, that and I feel like our life is just so BORING compared to when we lived in Iceland & Japan...sigh. What to post, what to post? Guess I'm forced to dig back through all my THOUSANDS of photos and try and find some I haven't used yet or that provide inspiration....hold that thought I'll be back in a few!
Ok, I'm brain has been revived! Lately the kids and I have been talking about Noah and how God flooded the Earth, which reminded me that I've seen some amazing rainbows all over the world! Each time I see a rainbow I am reminded of God's promise:
"I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth."
-Genesis 9:11-13 (NIV)
So here are pics of some the rainbows I've seen (and managed to capture with my camera):
Double Rainbow, days after we arrived in Iceland
In Japan, days before we were to move back to the US
In Idaho, just a day after we arrived for a visit
What a great reminder that no matter where in the world we are, God is always with us.
So how's that for a 'bottom of the barrel scraping' for ya? LOL!!
