Wow this is my 100th post!
Yesterday (Wed) & today (Thurs) were supposed to be pack-out days, but for those who know us know anything we do always involves an adventure style aspect to it, LOL! Due to the incredible speed and work ethic of the Japanse packers/movers they were able to pack-out our entire lives (minus 1300 lbs of stuff we need until we move) in 8 hours! There were 5 workers here to pack and when it came to load everything in the truck more showed up and there were at least 11! While this is great it also left us with a bit of an adventure.
Our TMO furniture (basically furniture the military provides for us to use until we move or after you arrive in Japan until your stuff gets here) isn't due until Thursday. Mr. B went down to ask about it getting delivered later on Wed and it was a no go. So that left us Wed evening in a house with literally nothing! Thankfully Mr. B and I had a mattress because we're going to throw ours out when we leave and 1 small TV. It was basically like camping in the house! Plus everything is so loud with all the noises echoing off the empty spaces.
Thankfully our friend, H, invited us over for dinner so we didn't actually have to be in the house until bedtime. Then our friends, The B family, loaned us an air mattress for the boys, sleeping bags for a bed for Bea, and 2 TVs and we were set for the night.
Also one of the packers yesterday cut himself with a razor blade and him and another worker who spoke good English came and asked Mr. B for some band-aids. But when Mr. B seen the cut was on the inside of the worker's arm from his wrist to the inside of his elbow he told them he didn't have something for that type of cut. The worker had taped it shut with clear packing tape (points for being creative) and they decided to take him down to the ER.
With no kitchen table or chairs this morning the kids ate breakfast on the floor, thank goodness kids don't mind. Mr. B hooked my iMac back up last night on the kitchen counter so I was happy about that. I have a feeling the next few weeks are going to fly by and we'll be flying out of here in no time and off to the next adventure :)
The pictures for today are of our goods packed and what it looked like last night, I'll take more today after the TMO furniture arrives here in a few hours.
Kitchen all packed up
Bubby's room last night, the dresser is TMO's that we've had since we've been here. Also notice the space hogging obnoxious heaters?! There is one in every room which makes for interesting furniture situations.

8 hours!?! Wow! I wish we'd had movers. I think it took me a month to get the whole house packed up, lol.
