Boo's Hand Update III
We come to find out that it means using tweezers and scissors to rip off the scabs/dead skin/stitches on the pinky finger! Even though she was being gentle it was uncomfortable (and painful!) and I felt so bad sitting next to him watching him in pain. All I could do was rub his back and tell him to breath through his nose (doula training comes in handy in many instances!). After a few painful minutes she removed it all and revealed a new finger underneath.
I was surprised by how great his finger looks! He did talk her out of doing the middle finger as the skin wasn't as loose. We spent time soaking and cleaning it here at home tonight to hopefully remove it ourselves before next week. I bought a Dove SkinVitalizer today at CVS (cuz I got it for free) and I didn't even realize how handy it would be, as we used it to clean Boo's arm and fingers! It was a great help on the ring finger as it cleaned off tons of the scab and even removed a stitch!
Here are the pics from today and Boo said I need to put in the disclaimer that they are not for the faint of heart or weak of stomach!
Teaser, this is the pic we took with the cell phone camera to send to our family, who enjoy so much getting these pictures via photomail! LOL!
Here is what his hand looks like tonight after today's skin removal
Close up, see how scabby and crusty it looks? His pinky looked like that until this morning, now it is much more comfortable for him!

I scrolled down through the pictures first (because I love pics like this...I know I'm gross) before I read the entry and I saw the last one and did think you'd found some weird bug in your house!
His fingers look like they would be so painful!
