World Traveling Military Family

Well we did it, we ripped the scab off his ring finger so he wouldn't have to get it done at PT on Tues.  We did it Wed night after cleaning and soaking it Tues night and again Wed night.  It was much less painful us doing it ourselves, but it did require me having to leave the room for a few minutes while he was pulling part of it with the stitches still attached.  

It looks better now and is much more comfortable for him when he does his exercises.  There is one spot on the ring finger that is kinda weeping, I had hoped it would've stopped by today (2 days later) but we just checked and it's still going.  We'll have to ask at PT about it on Tues if it hasn't resolved itself.  I've been letting him keep his pinky un-bandaged (and he was excited to show his friends at school) but we're keeping the ring one wrapped so it doesn't get infected.
