Happy Halloween
The kids had a fun and busy day yesterday! The morning started with dropping Bubby & Bea off at school where they had a Costume Parade. Bea had a fun time seeing all the different costumes.
Boo and I then headed to his Dr. appt at the base to get his referral for the hand specialist. The appt. went well, although I chose not to closely watch while the Dr. was examining the movement of his fingers. It was discovered that in addition to him not being able to move the upper half of his right hand ring finger it also feels numb. We will be seeing the specialist Monday afternoon. I have opted to let Mr. B take him as I'm sure the Dr's there don't want to have to deal with me passing out while they are examining Boo :)
I then took Boo to school and ran a few errands. During those errands I got a call from the base hospital saying there was a problem with the referral as we hadn't changed to a Dr. here. I explained that we did change Drs yesterday before we put in the referral. In order to prove this I had to go BACK to the hospital and take in our hard copy.
So I picked the kids up from school and headed to the hospital. As soon as we got there we realized there was a bunch of organized chaos going on with a Halloween event thrown by the hospital. We went and turned in the papers and I took the kids down to the chaos to join in. They had a fun time trick or treating from table to table as well getting popcorn and drinks. We were there for about 40 minutes.
We then headed to our hotel room and meet Mr. B to get dinner ready and to head out for trick or treating on the base. It was from 6-8 pm here on base but our kids only lasted until 7 pm which was more than fine with us. It was nice weather for trick or treating. The SPs were driving around in golf carts patrolling and handing out candy. A firetruck was also driving through the neighborhoods handing out candy as well. I have to say the house that was the biggest hit was a Col's house as they were handing out candy, warm cider and hot dogs! They had a huge crowd around their yard. What an idea!
Trick or Treating just wasn't the same without our friends!!! Can someone PLEASE move to AL?!?!? LOL!
Here are some pics of the kiddos:
