Photography - Sidelighting for Texture
Happy Friday!
It's been awhile since I made a photography post so in hopes of it producing motivation to finish up my class I though I'd post one today.
The assignment was to use side lighting to emphasize surface texture, and I do have to say that I struggled with this assignment. I finally ended up with this photo:
So while I now know what to look for when using this technique I do have to say it's still one of the harder concepts for me to wrap my brain around, I don't think I'll be using it intentionally very often.
A few other photos I happened upon:
I like how the side lighting on this fur map illuminates the transparency of the skin.
I love this one of Bea and her shadow, it's so her...she's always striking a pose :)
