Reading Goals 2012
Last year near the end of Jan I seen someone post on Facebook that they wanted to read 100 books for the year of 2011, I thought wow that sounds great and I wanted to try it too!
I started using a website Good Reads that keeps track of all the books I've read, which has been super handy! Plus I can follow what my friends are reading as well.
So the end of Jan 2011 I set a goal to read 100 books and while I did not meet the goal, I'm super excited that I was able to read 75 books this past year! I don't know how many books I read in 2010 but I know for sure it was no where near 75! I think in reality 100 books might've been 'reaching for the moon' so to speak with everything else that goes on during the year.
I LOVE Paperback Swap, I've saved so much money by trading my books for other books. Yes, I was more than a little late to the game using this site as I just started in 2011...but better late than never as they say ;) So between that website, our small library, thrift stores, and an occasional splurge on Amazon I had no problems coming up with 75 books.
This year I want to read at 'least' 75 books and hopefully more! I've already read 2 this year so I'm off to a good start, hopefully I can keep it up :)
So what did I read last year? Oh you know just a little bit of this and little bit of that...not to mention the books I've had to read for my photography course which are not listed below. Here it is...and yes I do realize that I don't rate all the books I read, I'm just weird like that ;p

This is an amazing goal!! Mine was 15 and I felt that was a stretch for me. You do realize that is a book every 3 days?
I figured it was about 6 books a month, some months I do less and some months more :) And thankfully I read pretty fast too, so that helps!
WOW! I just finished reading your list of books. I read some of the same ones and have added your books to my 2012 "to do" list. I am so impressed with ALL that you do - from your DIY; the kids (not goats, of course); photography, etc. You are inspiring.
So happy for Damon and the cute pic of before/after driving. I remember him when he was 3 and I was impressed with him then and even more now. Give all of the family my love.
